1) become fluent in Spanish. ( why did I take Latin at Baldwin?)
2) learn to play a movement from Sonata in C minor, Opus 13, Beethoven.
3) Beat my granddaughter in a running race. (as she becomes faster and I becomes slower this may be unattainable.)
John's Latest Interactions
I met Randy in 10th grade. He was a special guy. He was smart, athletic, and had a wonderful sense of humor. In 11th grade English, our teacher Mrs. Row, assigned us to interpret the lyrics to the song MacArthur park. We were flummoxed and had no idea why the park melted in the dark, and what green icing had to do with anything. While our poetic interpretation was inadequate at best, Mrs. Row, asked us to help select a name for a future first child. Randy recommended that she name her first child Skid. I am fairly confident that she did not name her child Skid Row, although to be honest I did not keep up with her and possibly she did. I always thought it was a great idea. The world will be a little less light with Randy's passing. He will be missed.
