Robert "Bo" Scott Reese, Colonel, USAF (Retired), 69, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, 26 August 2022.

Born in 1953, Bo grew up and his roots remained planted in Pitts-burgh, Pennsylvania his entire life. He also continued to be an avid sports fan for all Pittsburgh teams. Upon graduation from Baldwin High School, Bo enrolled in Memphis State University where he received his Bachelor of Science in Business and was a distinguished graduate of the Air Force ROTC program. Commissioned a Lieutenant in 1975, Bo continued his military studies at the Air Force War College and earned an MBA at Northern Colorado University. During his 30-year career in the Air Force, Bo specialized in assignments with a focus on Space -- operations, logistics, policy, acquisitions, and education. If it was “Space”, Bo knew about it. His military career and duty assignments enabled him the opportunity to travel and experience different cultures, cuisines and fulfill his need for adventure. Upon retiring from the Air Force, Bo became a contractor and consultant in the National Capital region, serving as a Systems Engineer with multiple companies including the Scitor Corporation, Science Applications International Corporation, IAI, Centauri, and Kellogg, Brown and Root. Bo found his calling in mentoring people; military, civilian, colleagues and young adults. He was involved in the community as a leader in the local Boy Scout organization. He was a member of the Knights of Co-lumbus and taught in the religious education program for his church. He enjoyed playing softball, basketball, was passionate about running and ran several marathons. He relished studying history with the American Civil War being his favorite topic. He found contentment spending time reading. Bo enjoyed listening to music; his tastes were diverse from Josh Groban to Garth Brooks to Pat Benatar. He enjoyed watching old movies; John Wayne and Humphrey Bogart being his favorite actors and police detective shows, with Perry Mason, NCIS and Law and Order being his top picks. Bo took pleasure in ice cream, candy bars and cookies. He was a dog lover. He was also very fond of flowers, especially roses.

Bo was a dedicated public servant, leader and devoted husband, father, son, brother and friend. He will be deeply missed, but not forgotten.
