Dr. Steven Michael Pacella passed away on September 26, 2022.  He was 69 years old.  He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Peggy Pacella, and his sons Stephen and Marc Pacella. 

Steven was born in Pittsburgh, the son of Pascal and Aida Pacella. He spent his youth in the South Park area before going on to graduate with Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctorate degrees from Grove City College, Duquesne University, and the University of Pittsburgh. He would later move to the Moon Township area to raise his family.  He spent his career in social work and psychological services, working to help get care and resources to those who need it most.

Steven enjoyed few things more in life than listening to classical music, golfing with his family, gaining an encyclopedic knowledge of Roman history, and being a lover of animals. In particular, he was a true best friend to man’s best friend – the dog.

A memorial service will be held to celebrate his life Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Copeland Funeral Home 981 Brodhead Rd. Moon Twp., PA.  Visitation at 11:00 a.m., with the service beginning at 11:30 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Animal Friends of Pittsburgh.
