Susan Nobs Vargesko, 67, of Louisburg, passed away in Rocky Mount on December 31, 2020. She was born December 18, 1953 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania a daughter of the late Arthur J Nobs, and Irene (Smith) Nobs. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Bruce Wayne Nobs. Susan was a member of Wood Baptist Church, Louisburg. She enjoyed woodworking, and trips to New Orleans. Susan is survived by her husband of 16 years, Edward B. Vargesko, her children: Lindsey Traub, and Matthew Traub; step-daughters: Pamela Ketola, Linda Woleben, and Andrea Vargesko; 11 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren, 2 step-brothers and 1 step-sister: Al and Dan Loughran, and Nancy Keenan. She will also be missed by many friends. Arrangements are being handled by Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Blvd., Louisburg, NC 27549. Barry Traub
Sue and I were Baldwin high school sweethearts. We both went to Penn State and were married in 1974. We had three children, Barry Jr (born 1982, died 1982), Matt (born 1985, two children) and Lindsey (born 1988). We were married for 28 years, and divorced in 2003. We remained friends until her sudden death on New Years Eve night, 2020. She never got to see her adorable grand babies. May she happily dwell in Heaven forever.
