Keith lived two doors away from me on Oakridge, went to Pitt (my Penn State's arch enemy) after graduating BHS, approximately 1971-75.  Later he joined the US Navy Reserve as an Air Intelligence Officer, stationed (I believe) on USS Ranger, a Pacific Fleet aircraft carrier.  Last I saw/spoke with him was either 1981, on my way to Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, CA, or 1985 when I came home for my parents' move to Seattle (Bainbridge Island).  Mom had incurable brain cancer (glioblastoma) and in summer of '85 had a Farewell gathering of her friends.  She passed just before Christmas 1985 while living with my oldest brother, Dave (BHS '64).  Keith had detached from the USNR and was working as a Security Officer in the Gulf Building (I believe) where several Defense Companies had offices/headquarters.  Recall that President Reagan had started the Star Wars program, several were in the Gulf Building, and I believe Keith was working for one of the Security Contractors.

Keith was a member of the "Spooner's Driveway all hours basketball court" group that included such luminaries as:  Steve Demme (BHS 71), Mike Pitts (BHS 71), Steve Shearer (BHS 71), Fritz Lindour (BHS 71), Mike Farrell (St. Elizabeth's '71), and others I can't  recall.

I found Keith's obit by accident and saw that he was being taken care of by Slater's Funeral Home.  I contacted John Slater (our class) and he placed me in contact with Keith's eldest brother (Alfred Jr. or Terry as I knew him).In 2013, Keith had a stroke and moved to Ohio to live/rehab with Terry.  I exchanged emails with Terry and although Keith was comfortable, he never recovered and his health began declining until he passed.

We had a falling out dealing with his USNR career that I never got the opportunity to correct.  Regardless, I miss him.
