Kevin Klotz

Kevin Klotz

LOTZ R. KEVIN, passed away quietly on March 5th. He was 49 years old. Kevin was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on October 27, 1953 to Rudi and Billie Klotz. He came to Miami in 1973 to study at the University of Miami where he earned both a Bachelor's and a Master's Degree in Accounting. He went on to earn an incredible variety of professional designations including CPA, CLU, CFP FLMI and CHFC. After graduating, he remained in Miami where he built his career and raised his family. Kevin's intelligence and judgement were unmatched and many sought his advice in a time when role models are hard to find. Kevin stood out as a teacher and mentor to more people than can be counted. His family was the most important thing of all to him and he was never happier than when he was spending time with his wife and children. He was also a devoted son and the special bond he had with his mother inspired everyone who saw it. Kevin is survived by his wife, Theresa; and their six children, Kevin, Kurtis, Kristofer, Therese, Taylor and Tina. He also leaves behind his mother, Billie Smith; and his brother and sisters, William Klotz, Bonie Kinger and Shelly Howatneck. Kevin excelled at the many roles he played in life, husband, son, father, brother, leader and true friend. He will be dearly missed. Donations can also be made in memory of R.
