So sorry for your loss. My memory of your brother David in high school is how sweet and happy he always was. May God give him peace and much joy in his eternal life. Keeping you and your family in prayer .

Cindy, I'm sorry for your loss. I remember David as always being cheerful and upbeat. I got to give him a ride home when I saw him walking in our neighborhood a few times and we got to talk.

Cindi - I'm so sorry for your loss.  Dave was probably one of our most memorable classmates.  He sat behind me in several classes...and was quite a handful!  Sometime back, I ran into him - he was working in one of the government buildings downtown.  He hadn't lost a lick of spirit!  He left a big mark on this Earth.

I remember David as a superstar. Perhaps more than anyone in our class, he taught me to accept any difficult challenge with grace, laughter, and an unfailing love for others (even those who are cruel.) These lessons have helped me back in high school, and continue to serve me well to this day. I cannot thank him enough. And Cindy, you are forever engraved in my heart also as being a perfect role model to me of a faithful sister. You strengthen me as I take care of my younger sister now. The two of you together have made a huge impact on me, and I'm sure on others as well. I'm sure David is dancing in heaven right now with a joy beyond our wildest dreams. And Cindy, please know that you are loved and appreciated, and that my heart is broken with yours. The ripple effects of David's life, and Cindy's support, are never ending.

Always saddened to see these types of updates in our class emails, and this one hits particularly hard. Nothing but good memories of my personal interactions with Dave at BHS. I've thought of him often over the years. Sending love and deepest condolences to you, Cindy and the rest of Dave's family and loved ones.

Dear  Cindy, so sorry to learn of David's passing.  My condolences to you and your entire family.  As I read through all the comments I was struck by how "on target" they were.  Dave was indeed always so positive and outgoing, in the best way.  You both bring back wonderful memories.  All the best.  Dave

Dear Cynthia,

Sorry for your loss.  Not only those of us who went to school with David remember him well.  In the mid nineties was talking with a fellow University of Pgh Med School grad who workws through college as a vendor at Three Rivers Stadium.  I asked him if he knew David and of course 20b years later his face lit up.  David's indominable spirit so well remembered by his classmantes clearly affected the Three Rivers crew, as well.  In many ways growing up with David from Overlook Elem to BHS provided motivation for me specifically care for patients with disabilities and teach physicians in training about the professional/personal satisfaction that comes with getting to know them as individuals.
